I Have A Father

‘See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.’

1 John 3v1

I have a Father who made the heav’ns above

He formed the mountains and cast the sea

He rules creation, the sovereign King of love

And He is mindful and cares for me

I have a Father I can depend upon

He’s ever faithful and always kind

Though I’m unworthy and He is Holy God

My Father loved me before all time

With each new morning, new mercies I can see

My Father loves me and always will

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;

There is no shadow of turning with Thee;

Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;

As Thou hast been, Thou forever wilt be.

Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!

Morning by morning new mercies I see;

All I have needed Thy hand hath provided:

Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
